記者会見する小泉進次郎農林水産相、１７日午前、農林水産省小泉進次郎農林水産相は１７日の閣議後記者会見で、ニホンウナギを含むウナギ属全種を国際取引規制の対象に加える提案に関し、「引き続きわが国の立場への理解が加盟国に広がるように、関係国と連携しながら全力を尽くしていく」と述べた。 Japanese fisheries minister Shinjiro Koizumi said Friday that he will work to block the adoption of a proposal making all eel species, including the Japanese eel, subject to regulation under an international treaty to protect endangered species.
